porici 15; open 9am-1am daily) this restaurant is modelled around the 20th
Century and the many locals that frequent it prove it’s worth as a must
visit restaurant. Why not try jazz nights on Friday and Saturday evenings?
Mid-Range: Restaurace U medvidku (tel 224 21
19 16; Na Perstyne 5-7; open 11.30am-11pm Monday to Saturday, and 11.30am-10pm
on Sunday) is a traditional beer hall and wine bar complete with non-smoking
restaurant and outdoor garden, serving traditional Czech food.
Luxury: Bellevue (tel 224 22 13 87; Smetanovo
nabrezi 18; open noon-3pm & 5.30pm-11pm Monday to Saturday, 11am-3pm &
7pm-11pm Sunday) is the place to head for a meal set to blow the budget…but
well worth it! Visitors can sit on the balcony and soak up the atmosphere
whilst having a fantastic view overlooking the Charles Bridge.
Drinking
Prague is renowned for it’s cheap beer, with a huge variety of bars
to choose from your only dilemma should be where to start!
Things To See And Do
- Prague Castle - peering over a cliff top this fantastic structure is 1000
years old and certainly the most popular tourist attraction on Prague. Prague
Castle is home to a network of tunnels and also has hourly changes of the
guards.
- Petrin maze of mirrors
- Wenceslas Square - a great meeting up point and a great starting point for
touring this fantastic city. Wenceslas Square is the hub of the action in
Prague, every type of history and person come together is Wenceslas Square
to offer and eclectic mix of old and new.
Shopping
The Hradcany area is generally the place to be if you want to buy souveniers.
Màla Strana on the other hand is home to a variety of shops. Boutiques
can be found near the Charles Bridge. Antique shops can also be found within
a few blocks of Malostranské Namesti and Staré mesto is where
the liveliest shops can be found!
