Generally restaurants and pubs that serve food in Split are fantastic value for money.

Drinking
Many bars can be found in the Diocletian palace. Try the Po Bota bar for a chilled atmosphere where to sample the local beers or the Red Room for a more lively atmosphere complete with a DJ playing some banging tunes.
An alternative popular nightspot for locals and tourists are the bars and clubs close to Bacvice beach in the Bacvice complex. Visit the Tropic Club Ecuador for a Latin feel complete with cocktails and palm trees or the O'Hara Klub where you will find live jazz and rock bands playing throughout the summer months.
Things to See & Do
- Diocletian Palace - found right in the heart of the Old Town, the palace dominates the area and is a truly impressive building crammed full of fabulous historical reminders, shops, restaurants and bars. Definitely worth visiting whilst in Split.
- Museums - Split has many interesting musuems providing an insight into the ever changing history of the city of Split and Croatia as a whole. Museums well worth a visit are the Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments, The Archaeological Museum, The City Museum of Split and The Ethnographic Museum to name but a few.
- Bacvice Beach Complex - this complex of bars, cafes and restaurants is the place to spend an evening when visiting Split. With just a 10-15min, you will soon find yourself enjoying the fantastic party atmosphere of the Bacvice Complex.
- Salona - a beautiful town just 5miles from Split offering a fabulous insight into the history of Croatia.
Shopping
You will find everything you could possibly need in the city of Split. The city centre offers an abundance of shops and department stores and hidden down the winding streets are boutiques, gift shops and antique shops, perfect for some chilled browsing. On the outskirts of the city you will find many large shopping complexes offering a whole host of different products for the more serious shoppers amongst you.
