Costa Teguise in Lanzarote

Overview of Costa Teguise, Lanzarote

Costa Teguise Cafe in Lanzarote

Costa Teguise is Lanzarote's third most popular resort and is situated just north of Arrecife in the north east of the island.

Costa Teguise is quite a small purpose built resort with lots of little squares around which the bars and restaurants are located. The resort is more low key than other resorts in Lanzarotes such as Puerto Del Carmen but still has plenty to do with a large selection of shops, restaurants and beaches. The Sunday market is worth a visit to pick up hand-made clothes, jewellery, paintings, wood carvings and wine as well as traditional cuisine.

In Costa Teguise there is a vast amount of water sports to try your hand at including diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, fishing, jet ski hire and parasailing. The main beach, Las Cucharas, is famous for its perfect windsurfing conditions and has wonderful white sand. There is even a golf course near by if you want to stay out of the sea!

Costa Teguise is well situated to explore the many tourist attractions in the North of Lanzarote, such as the Cueva de los Verdes, Jameos del Agua and the Jardin de Cactus.

Overall this is a great resort for those who just want to get away and relax while at the same time offers a multitude of activities associated with any modern resort.

Cesar Manrique Foundation

The unique appeal of Lanzarote can be attributed very much to artist César Manrique. To really understand the driving forces behind the island's modern development, we recommend the Foundation as your first stop. Once the artist's home, it is now a showcase for his life, art and thinking. The Foundation is just outside Tahiche, only 15 minutes from Costa Teguise.

Guinate Tropical Park

The Park is located in the northern part of Lanzarote at the foot of Mount Corona, an extinct volcano which is the highest point of the island. The park is some 45,000sq. meters (about 11 acres) of gardens, waterfalls and lakes with 1,300 exotic and vibrant birds and animals.
