Destination Review - Malaga
Got cheap flights to Malaga with Jet2.com earlier this month, and it’s a great place. Perfect for a winter sun break - it was still 26 / 28 every day in mid-October.
We stayed in Torremolinos just down the coast, but everything’s so easy to get to via the local railway - there’s a station at the airport, and it costs €1.40 for an adult single - about a quid! Don’t use the taxi! The trains are on-time to the minute everytime as well - the UK could learn!
Malaga is a very vibrant and modern city - with plenty of shopping opportunities - Torremolinos more touristy, but with a far better beach! The old town is typical Spanish, with some great restaurants in it. A far cry from the pub food most other places serve in the main streets.
Would also highly recommend Hotel Cervantes in Torremolinos, which after a 4* refurb in 2007 lived up to it’s name - you can book this through jet2holidays.com!
