Banff Mountain Film Festival

Once again the Banff Mountain Film Festival returns to Glasgow at the Mitchell Library Theatre showcasing some of the best in adventure sports.
The event attracts some of the best film makers from around the world who not only get involved for the sports but also for the amazing scenery and shoot locations. The show stops in 30 locations around the world and is not to be missed.

Aye Write! Glasgow's Book Festival

2011 will bring the 6th Aye Write book festival to Glasgow which celebrates local and international writings and writers!
The events also include writing workshops, giveaways, the award-winning free schools programme and of course readings from some top local authors.

Magners Glasgow International Comedy Festival

The Magners Glasgow International Comedy Festival is back for its 25 day tour of Glasgow with more than 350 shows! The festival is in its ninth year and going strong with quality acts like John Bishop, Micky Flanagan and Greg Davies it's not a comedy festival you'll want to miss!

West End Festival

Since 1996 Glasgow's west end has celebrated each year with over 300 events including street parties, walks, dancing, comedy and more, all focused on great family fun.
The West End Festival lasts for two weeks and kicks off with the well-known carnival parade. The festival breaks down cultural boundaries and brings the community together with the mixture of music and other arts.

Glasgow International Jazz Festival 2011

The events bring together artists from around the world showcasing art, music, theatre, performing arts and more.

Queen's Park Farmers Market

The Glasgow farmers market is hosted monthly across various dates in the Queen's Park area.
Local suppliers congregate to sell such delights as smoked salmon, Scottish heather honey and traditional cheeses such as Arran Mustard Cheddar and whiskey Oak Smoked Cheddar. Enjoy the day with food and drink and mixing with the locals.
