Procession of St Lazarus
Church of St Lazarus, Larnaca
This lively procession takes place eight days before the Greek Orthodox celebration of Easter and involves the local townspeople of Larnaca carrying an icon of Saint Lazarus through the streets of the town following a local priest.

Pentecost – Kataklysmos
Larnarca
Kataklysmos means the Festival of the Flood and is the Christian feats of Pentecost celebrated in all areas of Cyprus. The tradition if Pentecost originated from the veneration of Aphodite. In Larnaca you can take a stroll along the promenade where you can watch the boat races and see musical and theatre performances. Kids can also have fun at the fair or paddling in the sea as well as watching the wrestling competitions and canoe races.

Larnaca Summer Festival

Every summer, the town of Larnaca hosts a fabulous festival of traditional music and performing arts. Outdoor concerts take place in the courtyard of the medieval fort and also at the Pattichion Amphitheatre.
