After hopping on cheap flights to Budapest, travellers could find they have plenty of choices about what to do.

Josey Walker writes on Article Street of the plethora of activities available to groups of men heading to Budapest.

These range from water-skiing on the River Danube to swinging between trees on the zip wires of the Fun Extreme Canopy woodland attraction to the north of the city.

In the nearby Buda hills, meanwhile, the author notes that there is the opportunity to do some mountain biking and keep up the athletic pace of the trip.

For a slightly less frenetic pursuit, travellers might instead opt to explore the Plvlgyi Stalactite system in the caves of the Duna-Ipoly National Park.

Guided tours are available which include the provision of the necessary safety equipment, as well as driving holidaymakers to the park where the caves are located, Mr Walker advises.

Anyone stepping off cheap flights to Budapest from November could find they are faced with a new steel construction.

The airport's operator explains that the structure is to serve as a temporary baggage handling facility while work is carried out on the main terminals.
