While Tenerife has always been a popular holiday choice with Britons, with some perhaps considering booking cheap flights to Tenerife for this year, one sector commentator has claimed that there is a different side to the island.
Peter Nunn, who is part of the campaign Another Side to Tenerife, noted that the destination has a number of luxury boutique hotels, seven golf courses and a variety of natural and cultural attractions - making it the perfect getaway choice for people looking for a spot of winter sun.
Writing on the online pages of travelguru.tv, Mr Nunn notes: "Tenerife is most definitely an island of contrasts - the difference between the north and south is striking and not forgetting the island's crowning glory right in the middle, the Mount Teide National Park."
This meant that the island could deliver whatever type of holiday a person was looking for, he added.
And while there, Britons may wish to make a splash at the new Siam Park on the south of the island, which claims to be the "most exciting" water park in Europe.
