Britons considering booking cheap flights to Prague and looking for more ways to save money once they have arrived at their destination have been offered some tips on what they can enjoy for free while on their holiday this year.
Writing on the online travel pages of the Times, Matt Rudd said that the changing of the guard at Prague Castle at noon each day is "a laugh" and does not cost a penny.
"It was introduced after the Velvet Revolution at the request of the new president, Vaclav Havel. The high-kicking outfits were designed by the guy who did the costumes for the film Amadeus and a Czech pop star did the music," he states.
Mr Rudd goes on to point to early morning Mass at the gothic-style St Vitus's Cathedral as a less touristy attraction, while the vast walled Wallenstein Garden in Mala Strana could offer Britons a place to relax by its stunning fountain.
And music lovers may be keen to head to the Prague Lennon Wall, a jumble of graffiti dedicated to the memory of the former Beatle.
