This was the question posed by Kuoni, the Telegraph reports, with age being found to pay a significant part.
In fact, of the 1,000 holidaymakers surveyed, more were found to have had their perfect getaway at 34 than at any other age.
Furthermore, a third of respondents who were aged over 65 noted that their best break had come after they had retired.
However, the Telegraph added: "The truth is that a great holiday has nothing to do with age, or even cost, but everything to do with where you go and who you go with."
