Winter sports enthusiasts may want to book quick last-minute cheap ski flights to Europe, as ski resorts on the continent are set to benefit from further generous snowfalls over the next week.

According to the Telegraph, resorts in France, Austria and Switzerland will actually see half a metre of the white stuff falling, meaning that this half term break may be the best time to enjoy the end of the ski season.

The article goes on to assert that thousands of British families are likely to be hitting the slopes this week, with France and Austria being among the most popular destinations.

However, a spokesperson for the Ski Club of Great Britain told the news resource that Britons should ensure they wrap up warm as temperatures across European resorts are set to be extremely low.

Late last year, the Times' Ashling O'Connor claimed that this ski season had got off to the best start in 20 years, due to record snowfalls.
