While, if rumours are to be believed, Victoria Beckham may be considering a permanent move to the fashion capital of Italy, there are even more reasons for Britons to book cheap flights to Milan for their summer break this year.
According to Lee Marshall, writing on the online pages of the Telegraph, there is more to Milan than just Posh and Becks.
And to get a real taste of culture, holidaymakers may consider popping into the city's world-famous opera house, La Scala, where they can peep into the theatre by visiting the adjacent museum - Museo Teatrale alla Scala.
Or, to experience Italian 1930's architecture, tourists could visit the Museo Necchi Campiglia, a house formerly owned by two sisters which offers a glimpse of a by-gone age.
Following this city getaway, holidaymakers may even wish to extend their break by visiting the Amalfi Coast - which Mr Marshall claims is "one of the most romantic stretches of coastline in the world".
