Britons look increasingly further afield for their next holiday, it has been suggested.
Rob Yandell, managing editor and publisher of Group Leisure Magazine, explains that many begin with domestic trips and weekends away within the UK.
But Europe is a natural progression on from this, he adds, which could leave many travellers looking for cheap flights to Spain or France.
"People are getting more adventurous, looking for new and exciting worldwide destinations," Mr Yandell asserts.
"The world is a smaller place and the options are vast," he adds.
He points out that many people are demanding adventure at an affordable price.
For such people, cheap flights to Spain and other European destinations could be an ideal option.
Meanwhile, research from private banking services provider Cater Allen reveals that more than a fifth (22 per cent) of Brits would like their next holiday to be in the mountains.
