Britons considering booking cheap flights to Italy may wish to get their skates on in order to enjoy a spot of Italian cuisine, after the DJ and television personality Toby Anstis revealed he had best ever meal in the country.
In an interview with the Independent, Mr Anstis told how he had enjoyed Escalope Milanese with fresh tomato spaghetti at a restaurant in Florence when he holidayed there a few years ago.
"Nothing has come close since," he said of the perfect meal.
And he added that his most enjoyable holiday to date, apart from dining out on fine Italian pasta, had been a ski trip with his friends one New Year's Eve where they left the slopes each day to sit around a large fire to eat fresh cakes, toast and tea.
There may never have been a better time for food and wine buffs to fly to Italy, after the Telegraph's Lee Marshall advised that Britons could currently enjoy a spot of truffle hunting in Piedmont or wine tasting in Tuscany.
