Britons considering booking cheap flights to Alicante may wish to add a stay in Murcia to their holiday plans, after one writer noted it was a perfect destination for sporting breaks.
In an article for the Sunday Sun, Jonny Greatrex explained that the town, which is situated on Spain's eastern coast between Alicante and Cartagena, boasts a large lagoon of warm, clear water which is great for water sports.
On a trip there, Britons can indulge in everything from quad biking to horse riding and deep sea fishing to kayaking.
He added that there were also plenty of "wonderful" and cheap restaurants to choose from in the evening after a hard day at the lagoon.
