As one Spanish fiesta ends, another kicks off in Tenerife, which may be comforting news to Britons who have booked cheap flights to Tenerife but have missed the island carnivals.
Tenerife News advises tourists who have missed the Santa Cruz and Puerto de la Cruz carnivals not to despair as there is always more to come.
Coming up this weekend is the Los Cristianos carnival, which the news resource notes is smaller and more compact but equally accessible to those who want to party in the streets.
"This annual spectacular is always popular and attracts a huge crowd of local people and holidaymakers alike," it adds.
And this year's event promises to be no exception, including lots of colour, tradition, noise and excitement for all ages - from a funfair for the kids to a spot of culture for the adults in the form of the ceremonial Burying of the Sardines funeral.
Britons who did book cheap flights to Tenerife in time for the Santa Cruz carnival may agree with the Mirror's Iain Mayhew's recent comments that the event turned the city into one that "doesn't seem to want to go to bed".
