More non-Spanish residents than ever before are choosing to exchange their marriage vows on the Costa del Sol, which may prompt loved-up Brits to take similar action and book cheap flights to Spain.

The wedding catering firm Terra Sana has stated that it is witnessing first hand an increasing wave of brides and grooms keen to tie the knot on the Rock of Gibraltar.

And the group claims this is because more people are choosing to have a "wedding holiday" on the Spanish coast thanks to its "fail-safe climate" and "stunning scenery" which provides the perfect backdrop to all the photos from the special day.

Britons may wish to be quick to book cheap flights to Spain in order to celebrate their big day as they could find that they save money to put towards making their wedding the event they have always dreamed of.

And by tying the knot on a Spanish beach, they can be safe in the knowledge that the ceremony won't be ruined by grey skies and rain.

Soon, Britons may be able to follow up their wedding with a spot of high rolling, after the Guardian reported plans to build a casino resort to rival Las Vegas in Spain.
