Britons have been advised by one sector commentator that they can discover northern Cyprus by beating the crowds, so now may be the best time to book cheap flights to Cyprus.
In an article for the Times, Mark Hodson describes Cyprus as "a mythical island where time has stood still" and the peace of the beautiful golden beaches is only disturbed by nesting turtles.
And he adds that it could also be a good destination for those on a budget, as northern Cyprus uses the Turkish lira which means that Britons' pounds stretch further than they do in the eurozone.
"The food is excellent, the people are friendly. There are Roman ruins and fairytale castles on dramatic mountaintops," Mr Hodson enthused.
While Britons may feel they need no more convincing than this to book cheap flights to Cyprus, in an earlier Times' article, Nick Redmayne said he was enthralled by the sights and cafe culture of the northern part of the island.
