While golf enthusiasts who have booked cheap flights to Malaga will have plenty to keep them entertained during their break, with some of the best courses in the world, they have been advised to keep some time free to explore.

In Brandon Tucker's blog update for World Golf, he states that while he was primarily in the Costa Del Sol to play golf, he found the time to go and sample some local delicacies, including the region's cured ham.

He notes that he ate "tonnes" of it on his visit, while also dining on tapas and wine on his visit to the historic towns of Malaga and Ronda.

"If you're headed to Spain for a golf trip, you should really only be spending half the time golfing," Mr Tucker advises.

On days away from the golf course, he notes that there is plenty to do, from touring the towns to taking a cooking class to lazing on a Mediterranean beach.

And Britons who have booked cheap flights to Malaga over the Easter break could also take some time out to enjoy the town's celebrations, which Diane Parkes, in an article for the Coventry Telegraph, recently described as a "fiesta".
