Nature lovers can expect to drive just 15 minutes from the airport after disembarking from their cheap flights to Sharm El Sheikh to go and see the city's beautiful reefs, according to one writer.

In a readers' post for the Guardian, Fish Fan explains that they visited Egypt in order to indulge their passion for diving at Shark's Bay.

The day after arriving, they set out on a boat and completed a test dive at Ras Bob, before heading to the Tiran reefs.

"Besides its well-known attraction of the red anemone ... there was an abundance of life; from the majestic and mean-looking giant trevallies, delicate gorgonian fans and brick house brindle bass, to tiny ghost pipefish and nudibranchs," the diving enthusiast explained.

Among the reefs of the Tiran islands, they also had the pleasure of spotting a number of clownfish and a puffer fish.

While Egypt is proving a draw to sea life fans, Britons planning to book cheap flights to Sharm El Sheikh are unlikely to be alone this summer.

Mike Whiting, managing editor at Holiday Extras, recently revealed that the city centre had proved to be popular with UK tourists this spring.
