Britons are snapping up 'mega' cheap flights after Jet2.com launched its biggest ever seat sale yesterday. After slashing the price of over 10,000 seats, it was announced on Jet2.com this morning that thousands more cheap flights have been added to the Mega Flight Sale.

The sale must end midday on Monday 27th April, with one-way fares starting from as little as £2.99 including taxes - with the cheap flights being predicted to sell out fast.

The sale sees prices slashed on fares to popular destinations such as Amsterdam, Paris, Milan, Malaga, Ibiza and Barcelona, with the cheap flights departing from Leeds-Bradford, Manchester, Newcastle, Blackpool, Belfast and Edinburgh.

"For many people, financial uncertainties have put a real dampener on their summer holiday plans," said Jet2.com CEO Philip Meeson. "We think everyone deserves a break and some guaranteed sunshine, which is why we have discounted flights across the summer holiday period."
