Britons looking for the perfect place to relax in the blazing sun this spring may wish to book themselves some cheap flights to Paphos in Cyprus.
In a recent article for the Telegraph, Sophie Butler lists the island as one of the best places to visit in the Mediterranean for a good chance of sun.
She adds that spring on Cyprus is likely to be "comfortably warm", with temperatures rising to 27 degrees Celsius or more, with little rain and daylight lasting ten to 11 hours.
"There are good beaches, green countryside, a high standard of accommodation and interesting ancient sites around Paphos," she notes.
Ms Butler explains that May is a good month to travel in as the warm weather was not always reliable in the Mediterranean, meaning there are bargains to be had.
And UK sun-lovers may be further convinced to book cheap flights to Paphos, following another writer's comments.
Linda Cookson, in an article for the Independent, recently stated that Cyprus was "implausibly" sunny.
