While dining at a UK tapas chain may invoke the feeling of summer for many Britons, booking cheap flights to Spain can allow foodies to experience the real deal.

Richard Bigg, in a recent article for the Telegraph, claims that the small Spanish town of Alhama de Granada offers its visitors the chance to enjoy affordable tapas in the sunshine, while also boasting picturesque surroundings and real Spanish charm.

He advises that tourists head to one of the town's local and traditional bars in the evening where they can fill up on tapas and save the cost of a meal.

"That is the beauty of this region: fantastic food everywhere. Pay a bit more for your drinks and enjoy even more tapas," he states.

Mr Bigg adds that after filling up on the aperitifs people would not want or need to eat again that evening.

Brandon Tucker, a World Golf columnist, recently stated that he had enjoyed the tapas almost as much as the golf on a visit to the Costa del Sol, which may further convince Britons to book cheap flights to Spain.
