Many Britons may agree that there can be no better place to get away from it all than a sunny island packed with sandy beaches and beautiful scenery, and with this in mind they may wish to book cheap flights to Majorca this summer.

In a recent guide to the Spanish islands, the Telegraph notes that Majorca boasts "stunning scenery", particularly in the Sierra del Norte.

Holidaymakers who plan to hire a car to explore the island may also find the drive from Andratx through Valldemosa, Deya, Soller and on through Pollensa to Formentor enjoyable, with the news provider noting it is "not to be missed".

Other attractions include Palma and its gothic cathedral and historical residential properties, the east coast caves of Drach, Hams and Arta and Capicorp Vey's prehistoric stone towers.

Britons who feel inspired to book cheap flights to Majorca may also be able to put aside their money worries, with the Guardian's Nicola Iseard claiming that there were many deals to be had for breaks in Palma.

She added that the city boasts an abundance of entertainment and culture.
