Parents looking for the perfect holiday destination to keep their kids entertained while also providing an education boost may wish to book cheap flights to Spain.

And first stop on the agenda once they arrive could be a visit to Dinopolis, in the province of Teruel.

In an article for the Times, Dominic Wells names the dinosaur park as being one of the best educational and fun theme parks in all of Europe.

"Famous for its dinosaur finds, you can take a train ride past animatronic dinosaurs and visit a palaeontology museum with one of the world's largest collections," he explains.

Among the bones on show are full skeletons of a Tyrannosaurus Rex and a Brachiosaurus.

Mr Wells jokes that until the science of cloning advances, this is the closest families will get to the Jurassic Park experience.

Families planning to book cheap flights to Spain for the summer may also wish to pay a visit to PortAventura in Tarragona, which, according to the Times, boasts the 46-foot-high Furius Baco.

The ride has a top speed of 83.9 mph.
