Football fans planning to book cheap flights to Rome in order to see Manchester United face Barcelona at the Champions League final will find that the pitch is missing Darren Fletcher.
It has been revealed that Uefa has rejected Manchester United's appeal to overturn the red card the midfielder received during the semi-final against Arsenal.
The football governing body found in favour of Italian referee Roberto Rosetti, noting that there "were no grounds" to contest his decision.
Fletcher was sent off following his tackle against Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas.
Barcelona players Eric Abidal and Daniel Alves will also be missing the game as a result of the meeting as Uefa refused to overturn their suspensions.
A spokesperson for Manchester United said: "Darren is an honest player and we felt we should do what we could to try to help him become eligible for the Champions League final by initially protesting his dismissal."
