There is still excellent value to be found in the eurozone, according to one sector commentator, in news which may be of interest to Britons considering booking cheap flights to Spain.

In a recent article for the Telegraph, Nick Trend said that the rate of the pound against the euro is now a lot better than it was and that as long as people knew where to look they could still bag a bargain on their holiday.

He pointed to a recent trip he took to Andalusia where his family visited one well-known tapas bar but found the meal to be "disappointing" and expensive.

However, the next day they visited a locals' bar in the area and enjoyed a large meal for four with breadsticks and a bottle of water, all for £9.

And it is likely that people will continue to book cheap flights to Spain this summer, with Sean Tipton, spokesperson for ABTA - the Travel Association, claiming that Britons had a special place in their hearts for the country.
