Britons longing for a holiday where they can sample the coolest cafes and try out dishes by some of the world's hottest chefs may wish to book cheap flights to Paris.
The Times' Nick Wyke said that France is so food-obsessed that it now boasts thousands of blogs offering tips on the best places to dine out.
He noted that the sweetest secret in Paris was the handmade chocolates from Jacques Genin, which were previously only available at a limited number of exclusive restaurants.
"Now they are sold in glass cases like precious jewels. Caramel eclairs, mimosa pate de fruits and Szechwan pepper ganache are just some of the treats to savour," he added.
Mr Wyke added that another blogger's favourite when it comes to sweet treats is Patrick Roger the chocolatier.
Food-lovers planning to test out France's best culinary offerings by booking cheap flights to Paris may also wish to check out the French Open, which will run until June 7th at the Roland Garros stadium.
