Travellers planning to book cheap flights to Spain this summer may be interested to hear that when it comes to cultural pursuits, the Spanish lead the way.
Such are the findings of recent research by TripAdvisor, which found that Spanish travellers spend three hours and 28 minutes a day while on holiday getting involved with cultural activities.
In comparison, holidaymakers from the UK are content to spend two hours and 17 minutes per day getting to know the country they are visiting by going to museums, taking in the local buildings and looking at the architecture.
However, Luke Fredberg, spokesperson from TripAdvisor, stuck up for UK holidaymakers.
He said: "Everybody needs relaxation time and if it means chilling out in the sun and having a couple of drinks then who are we to say that it is not the right thing to do?"
And Mr Fredberg reminded people planning to book cheap flights to Spain that every person had their own idea of what is fun and what is not.
