Figures released by the Spanish National Institute of Statistics reveal that the region had a hotel occupancy rate of 50.63 per cent during April this year, while this increased to 55 per cent over the weekends.

In addition to miles of sandy beaches, the region also boasts a number of top golf courses - which can be enjoyed all year thanks to the warm climate - and plenty of cultural attractions.
