People who have booked cheap flights to Spain may be able to continue to save money for their trip with cheaper hotel bookings as well.
The latest figures from the trivago Hotel Price Index show that hotel owners are cutting their rates this summer - a break from the usual trend.
A spokesperson for the firm said that they were doing this to boost occupancy levels.
Consumers who had been considering staying in the UK this summer may be interested to hear that London hotel room rates have risen - going against the trend in other cities.
However, those who have booked cheap flights to Spain may be able to take advantage of the falling hotel prices for their stay. In Barcelona, for example, the average room rate is now 28 per cent less than in July last year.
Other cities across southern Europe have also seen price drops for their rooms.
