Business customers may be turning to cheap flights in order to continue making trips to see clients.
Through undertaking cost-cutting measures, more businesses now turn to cheap flights for their air travel. New figures from Visa Europe indicate that while spending on flights fell toward the end of last year, expenditure on such travel has now gone up again.
Figures from the organisation suggest that the number of travel transactions made on its Visa business cards increased by ten per cent in June this year, compared to the same month last year.
Editor of Business Travel Magazine Gill Upton said that business people have now adjusted to new travel policies and are opting for cheap flights to Spain and other countries across Europe to meet clients.
Ms Upton said that while there was a drop in the number of flights being made by businesspeople toward the end of last year, more flights are now being made so that companies can continue to make new deals.
