Cheap flights to Larnaca: European Dance Festival to be held next May

Travellers who have a spring in their step might want to book cheap flights to Cyprus for an event next year.

Organised by the ministry of education and culture, along with the Rialto Theatre, Limassol's European Dance Festival offers contemporary performances and workshops.

Although hosted in Cyprus, the two-month celebration is also backed by embassies in Spain, Austria, Italy, Greece, Sweden and the British Council.

The event begins in May, with all performances beginning at 20:30 (local time) at the Rialto Theatre.

Limassol is the second largest city on Cyprus and there are many other attractions holidaymakers can enjoy there throughout the year.

In September, a wine festival is held where attendees can sample some of the local tipples, taste regional treats and enjoy traditional music.

For travellers who want to find out about the history of the location, they could visit the ancient kingdom of Kourin – which the tourist board describes as "one of the most magnificent archaeological sites on the island".
