Rock festival good excuse for cheap flights to Ibiza

Holidaymakers booking cheap flights to Ibiza may be interested to learn of a music festival taking place on the island.

The Ibiza Rocks Hotel in San Antonio will play host to a variety of performing artists until September 8th this year.

Among the acts visitors can hope to see this year are the Kooks, the Enemy, 2manydjs, Groove Armada and the Ting Tings.

MGMT will be performing their hits, such as Kids and Time to Pretend at the hotel this week. The festival website states: "You'll be catching them in all their pomp and glory for a mighty dose of sea, sun and psychedelia.

"This is a gig that'll live on in the memory long after the summer has gone."

Visitors may be able to catch a glimpse of the stars offstage as many of them stay in the hotel itself.

According to a review of Ibiza Rocks in the Independent, the accommodation also provides poolside bars and chill out lounges.

It claims the festival is unique in that it features rock and indie music instead of the dance music that the island has become famous for.
