Those with cheap flights to Barcelona this month could enjoy the songs and compositions of one the world's most celebrated writers.

Following a 15-year hiatus, Leonard Cohen has returned to the stage and as part of his latest global tour will be performing at the city's Palau Sant Jordi on September 21st.

The singer-songwriter has been around for over 40 years, having launched his debut album Songs of Leonard Cohen in 1967, following this up two years later with Songs From a Room.

Other tracks which may form part of the performer's set list include folk classics like Suzanne and Bird on a Wire, while arguably his most famous track Hallelujah could also feature.

This song was covered by the late Jeff Buckley for his 1994 album Grace and hit the UK number one slot in 2008 when performed by X-Factor winner Alexandra Burke.

In addition, Hallelujah was also used in a key scene from this year's blockbuster movie Watchmen, an adaptation of Alan Moore's graphic novel.
