Cinematic treats for those with cheap flights to Spain

Between September 17th and 26th, the Basque city of San Sebastian will provide the setting for screenings of a wide range of movies including cinematic classics and works created by locals.

Entries in the festival's Official Selection will showcase a number of new movies, many of which will be seen for the very first time by attendees, while the Zabaltegi category looks at current international releases.

Finally, the Horizontes Latinos section celebrates new Spanish and Latin American films with an entire day dedicated to entries in the Basque tradition.

As part of 2009's event, special focus will be given to the work of Hollywood director Richard Brooks, who has credits such as Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Blackboard Jungle and an adaptation of Truman Capote's In Cold Blood to his name.
