Those looking for cheap flights to Barcelona may be interested in an event which celebrates Asian culture.

Celebrating the vibrancy of Barcelona, the Asia Festival is a showpiece of Asian art and culture.

The two-day show, a fixture of the Merce Festival of Barcelona, promises a roster of cultural events for travellers looking for cheap flights to the city.

Festivities include music from Chinese rocker Cui Jian, who commences his week-long tour of Spain in Barcelona.

Cui Jian, who supported the Rolling Stones in Shanghai in 2006, will front the opening night concert at Placa Reial.

Day two will involve family-friendly events at Parc de la Ciutadella, say the organisers Casa Asia.

Visitors can expect Bollywood dancing, traditional Chinese dragons and a selection of musical performances.

Held on September 23rd and 24th, the eighth edition of the annual event features contributions in cuisine, music and crafts from the city's Asian communities.

The Merce Festival of Barcelona continues until September 27th.
