Thrill seekers may want to book cheap flights to Barcelona and visit the Red Bull Air Race.
Described by fans as Formula 1 in the sky, the event sees pilots race at speeds of 250 miles per hour.
The aim is to navigate their way around the course, performing aerial stunts to pass through 60-foot high inflatable gates.
Since beginning in 2005 the show has grown in size to include 11 competitors at 11 world venues.
Barcelona hosts the final date of the air race season, which has also included visits to London, San Diego, Porto and Budapest along the way.
Paul Bonhomme of Britain currently tops the leader board and will fight for the title against Austria's Hannes Arch in Barcelona.
A recent survey from Saga Holidays found that UK travellers from East Anglia are the biggest thrill seekers while on holiday, with one in five (20 per cent) regarding adventure as important.
The Red Bull Air Race takes place on October 3rd and 4th.
