Partygoers looking for cheap flights to Spain may want to check out the Pilar Festival in Zaragoza.
The event features a host of activities, including dancing, live music, theatre, craftwork and even balloon flights.
Dating back to 1723, the festival honours Zaragoza's patroness, the Virgin of the Pilar.
Celebrations focus on a flower-offering parade on October 12th, which the organisers claim is the most popular day to attend.
Festivities also include a procession of floats through the streets, which swells the population of the city to three times its size.
The promoters promise a packed schedule, which includes "puppets, clowns, juggling, trapeze, mime", among other events, plus many traditional activities such as bull fighting.
The festival runs from October 10th to 18th.
According to research by Tesco Travel Money, a third of UK travellers planned to stay at home this year, while seven per cent intended to visit non-Euro countries.
