Food lovers looking for cheap flights to Spain may be heartened by reports of a new chef appointment.

Described by Graham Keeley in the Times as a "visionary, chemist, artist, magician", Ferran Adria is to front the Tourism Management and Gastronomy School.

People will be able to find the eatery alongside the Esade Business School in Barcelona, the newspaper report added.

The Times quotes the chef as saying: "We need to take advantage of the importance of strategic sectors like gastronomy and tourism. We need to make money from creativity."

Noted as "the best chef in the world" by El Pais, Adria is the brains behind the renowned El Bulli restaurant.

With three Michelin stars, it could present an opportunity for visitors to experience a wide range of choices presented by Spanish cuisine.

About.com recently listed patatas bravas, chorizo, gazpacho, paella and roast suckling pig among its top ten examples of the country's food.
