Music lovers may wish to book cheap flights to Avignon in order to capture the city's annual Blues Festival.
Featuring performances from American and Australian musicians, the concerts promise to showcase the sounds of many contemporary artists from the genre.
Held at Le Rouge Gorge among other venues, the line-up includes Deborah Coleman Blues, Sophie Delila and The Kinsey Report.
One of the main attractions that could lead visitors to Avignon is the Palace of the Popes, a "mighty symbol" that offers "continuous cultural activities throughout the year" such as art exhibitions and drama conferences, according to the monument's official website.
The building dates back to 1335 and is the biggest gothic palace in Europe.
Elsewhere, the main venue for the Blues Festival is renowned for its cabaret, restaurant and drama, which could attract holidaymakers to stay beyond the festival weekend.
The event takes place on October 9th and 10th.
