Holidaymakers booking cheap flights to Spain through Jet2.com could be among those who are taking advantage of online travel resources.
An increasing number of travellers to destinations such as Barcelona, Menorca and Almeria are eager for a variety of booking options when planning their break, if the comments of an expert are anything to go by.
Michelle Fuller, director at eDigitalResearch, said that the type of information sought by travellers may include "online help, 24-hour call centres, online chat and immediate email feedback".
Overall, she highlighted how the internet has become "the preferred method of researching prior to booking".
Recently, Frommer's Unlimited released new research which shows the sort of details holidaymakers look out for when booking their trip online.
It found that 86 per cent of people consider price to be the most important piece of information, while the weather was a priority for 63 per cent of respondents.
