Cheap flights to Ibiza are becoming increasingly popular among revellers, it has been suggested.
James Bainbridge, author of A Year of Festivals, highlighted the destination as a party hot spot for people on the lookout for a holiday with a difference.
Commenting on the trend for travellers to combine a trip abroad with the chance to catch their favourite artists, he said: "I do think music festival tourism is something that is developing."
Mr Bainbridge added: "Ibiza is something that has been happening for a couple of decades with everyone piling up there for the parties in the summer."
He also underlined how the wide range of festivals on offer ensures that this type of travel experience not only appeals to young people - but holidaymakers of other ages too.
Additionally, research by Lovebox Weekender recently found that 57 per cent of festivalgoers look forward to having lots of food and drink on such excursions, while 29 per cent admitted their biggest priority was maintaining their appearance.
