Britons are feeling more and more stressed and run-down and may be in need of a well-earned vacation, it has been suggested.
According to PR Log, the research by Friends Provident revealed that 61 per cent of people feel under pressure and are now more prone to illness.
In addition, 25 per cent of respondents to the poll are working longer hours and plan to continue doing so over the coming months, meaning they are not making use of their holiday allowance.
One-third admitted that they rarely used their full vacation allocation due to the pressure they were under at the office.
Mark Jones, head of protection at Friends Provident, said: "Stress can have serious ramifications on long-term health and wellbeing."
However, a holiday overseas may be just the thing people need to leave their worries behind.
And Brits who are concerned about their finances may be interested to know that Jet2.com offers cheap winter flights, jetting off from airports across the north of the UK.
Meanwhile, the Telegraph's Peter Hardy has claimed that snow sports fans could also make savings by buying their ski or snowboarding equipment before they travel, from a discount outlet such as TK Maxx or eBay.
