Travellers could book cheap flights to Chambery for a skiing holiday with a difference this winter.
Located in south-eastern France, winter sports fans may be interested to learn that the destination provides straightforward access to the slopes.
Chantal Pitin, head of leisure traffic development at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport, commented on the appeal of hitting the slopes in the country.
In particular, she recommended the Pyrenees region as a good spot for travellers, adding: "It's special because you have snow as well as the sun. We are in the south of France and what is different about the resort is that they are little resorts, family resorts."
Additionally, statistics from the Ski Club of Great Britain recently underlined the popularity of skiing over the channel.
It found the most popular French resorts included Tignes, Meribel, La Plagne, Val d'Isere and Morzine.
Moreover, skiers remain keen on the country, as the organisation reported that France accounts for 43 per cent of the UK snowsports market.
