Holidaymakers will continue to book cheap flights to Turkey through Jet2.com next year, if one commentator's words are anything to go by.

The Mediterranean destination will "remain a favourite" in 2010, according to the Mail on Sunday's travel editor Frank Barrett.

He pointed to the fact that the country proved popular among people looking for some October sun this year as an indication it will perform well next summer.

Dalaman and its surrounding resorts could prove a particular draw for tourists, as it boasts a range of attractions and interesting experiences.

Thrillseekers could enjoy a spot of white water rafting down the city's river, while energetic types could also pack up their walking gear for a trek along the 311-mile Lycian Way.

Mud baths found close to Marmaris could make for a relaxing afternoon excursion, while the Olu Deniz region is known for its beaches, such as the 11-mile Patara sandy spot.
