Culture vultures may be inspired to book cheap flights to Milan and make the short trip east to Brescia after hearing about its newest cultural attractions.
The city is opening an exhibition about Inca Tribes at the Santa Giulia museum tomorrow (December 4th 2009), which will be held until June 27th 2010.
Officials explained the show will divulge the secrets of the mysterious civilisations, following the tribes' movements from Peru.
Commenting on the show, local city councillor Andrea Arcai remarked: "We are getting paintings coming from Mexico and Spain. It is not only [thanks to] the cooperation of South America but also with the most important museums in South America."
He added the exhibition will be one of the most important attractions of its kind in northern Italy.
In related news, recent Office for National Statistics data put Italy in the top seven destinations for holidaying Brits, alongside France, Spain, Germany, the USA and Portugal.
