British travellers will continue to book cheap flights to Sharm el-Sheikh through Jet2.com next year, if one expert's words are anything to go by.
Minister of tourism for Egypt HE Zoheir Garranah said the UK market has seen the biggest growth in the north African country over the last year.
He put this down to an abundance of package holiday options, along with strong investment in the nation's marketing campaigns.
The representative said although the next 12 months could be tough for the country's tourism sector "we are going to have to continue to work very strongly" to ensure travellers keep coming back.
"We have reached a total capacity of 211,000 and we have over 191,000 rooms under construction which will be ready in four or five years," he explained.
His comments follow recent remarks by American Express Global Foreign Exchange Services, which suggested the rise in popularity for Egyptian currency is being driven by tourists who want guaranteed sunshine and value for money.
