Travellers who book cheap flights to Dubrovnik through Jet2.com can enjoy a "diverse Mediterranean experience", if one expert is to be believed.

According to the Croatian National Tourist Office, the country offers fantastic value for money for those looking to soak up a bit of sun.

Director at the organisation Meri Matesic also highlighted the fact cheap flights to Dubrovnik have short journey times.

"Our country is proving popular with travellers from all over the UK and Ireland," he said.

Earlier this year, the Post Office noted that Croatia has one of the fastest growing currencies in Europe.

Head of travel services Sarah Munro explained the Balkan country has been growing in popularity among travellers "for some time now".

Meanwhile, tourism guide In Your Pocket Now highlighted how September and October can be good times to visit the country, as its temperatures are pleasant and it has a number of interesting cultural attractions.
