Travellers will continue to book cheap flights to Turkey through Jet2.com for a summer 2010 holiday, if one report is anything to go by.

Local newspaper Altinkum Voices stated the government is looking to widen the appeal of the pan-continental country, suggesting new hotels, roads, marinas and golf courses are on the way.

It made the claims after noting the nation's culture and tourism minister Ertugrul Gunay recently revealed plans to attract 30 million visitors next year.

Overseas property investment expert Dominic Whiting also suggested Turkey could be a hotspot in the coming years.

He is editor of www.buyingin.co.uk and said: "Looking forward, there is much to be optimistic about and I expect a steady increase in market activity from spring 2010 as the tourist season starts."

In related news, Askin Altiparmak, who works at the Aqua Fantasy Hotel in Kusadasi, told Altinkum Voices the attraction is set to become one of the resort's central entertainment options in the coming years.
